The Bealtaine Reminiscence Tea Dance – Dublin in the Rare Old Times – last Sunday was a huge success. The music, dancing and the food was all superb thanks to the staff and board members who spent long hours preparing for this great event. Certain people (you know who you are) danced themselves to a standstill, putting the rest of us to shame. We are delighted so many people of so many abilities enjoyed the afternoon so much. A big thank you to all who helped make it a great occasion. Roll on the next one!
A quick mention today too of Cairde, our Before and After school service. Many families living locally are so happy with the care and developmental support their children are receiving that we are almost full for September. We are looking forward to the summer holidays, when we are planning new activities and experiences for the children attending. As well as being fun, they’ll promote their physical, social and cultural development. We never forget the privilege it is to play a part in the children’s lives.
